Star Seeker keyblade for the win!
Inspiration for this keyblade was because it is my boyfriend's cousin's favorite keyblade, and my bf challenged me to make it
i love a good challenge! and it was fun putting this piece together.
the difficulty level was a bit high for this piece because of all the colors and a little bit from the shape.
i am a sucker for accuracy, so i tried my best to make sure the colors are as close as possible.
sorry, i suck at gradient color-dying ! i got a few tips from but i still need lots of practice.
the blue on star seeker is supposed to be a rich royal blue fading into a lighter blue, and then a pastel shade of purple/indigo whatever you wanna call it.
i used RIT dye and it said royal blue, however it looked more navy ish to me. -__- it was my first time trying sooo excuse the miscoloring. at the time, i didn't have the purple dye, so it was actually light blue at the top before. but because it bugged me that it wasn't purple i went out and got purple dye.
(the bad thing is that i re-dyed the top part AFTER i sewed it and put the dowel support in, so it kinda looked like it stained it =/ i know better now = do all the color dying business at one time)
-so yes the "body" part of the keyblade was all white until i dyed it. the moon and star part were separate. each was stuffed and sewn on separately. i had to hand sew the star to the moon. and the moon to the blade to give that "floating" effect that the real keyblade has.
(the moon looks fat -__- but i re did it twice already and thats the best i could do at the time)
the hilt looking part was also white, i painted the details on it.
-the chain is made of pipe cleaners
-the charm is craft foam
ta-da!
OH!! one more thing!!!
THE STARS GLOW IN THE DARK.
LOL i'll post the glowing version.

Bad. Ass.
I love it! I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, myself.
